From fragrance and wax to wicks, vessels, and packaging, we choose materials with performance, quality, and responsible use in mind. Our approach is not about making perfect claims — it is about making considered choices and being transparent about them.
Our Material Standards
100% Vegetable-Based Coconut-Soy Wax
Our candle wax is made from coconut and soy, with soy as the primary wax. The soy component is made from U.S.-grown soybeans, and the blend contains no paraffin.
Phthalate-Free Fragrance
Every fragrance oil we use is formulated without phthalates. Our fragrance materials are developed according to established RIFM and IFRA standards for fragrance safety and use.
Vegan-Friendly + Cruelty-Free Fragrance Oils
The fragrance oils we use are vegan-friendly and cruelty-free. The finished fragrance oils are not tested on animals by their manufacturers or fragrance houses.
FSC-Sourced Wood Wicks
Our wood wicks are sourced from FSC-certified mills and made in the United States from natural, untreated wood.
The Wax
Coconut-Soy Wax
Our candles are poured with a 100% vegetable-based blend of coconut and soy waxes.
Soy makes up the majority of the blend and is made from U.S.-grown soybeans. Coconut wax contributes to the creamy appearance, smooth finish, glass adhesion, and fragrance performance we want from a finished candle.
Our wax contains no paraffin and requires no additional wax additives. We chose it because it gives Luceria candles the smooth, off-white finish and consistent fragrance experience that has become part of our candle design.
The Fragrance
Phthalate-Free by Choice
Fragrance is at the heart of Luceria, so what goes into it matters.
Every fragrance oil we use is formulated without phthalates and selected with established fragrance safety standards in mind. Our fragrances combine natural and synthetic aromatic materials, allowing us to create dimensional scents that perform consistently across candles and home fragrance.
Synthetic does not automatically mean unsafe, just as natural does not automatically mean better. What matters is how an ingredient has been evaluated, formulated, and used.
The fragrance oils we use are also vegan-friendly and cruelty-free.
The Wick
FSC-Sourced Wood Wicks
Every Luceria candle is made with a natural wood wick sourced from FSC-certified mills.
Our wicks are made in the United States from untreated wood and chosen for both performance and experience. Their warm flame, understated appearance, and subtle crackle have become part of what makes a Luceria candle feel distinctly ours.
Responsible sourcing matters even in the smallest details, and the wick is no exception.
The Vessel
Recycled Glass, Designed to Stay
Our signature amber glass vessel is made with 30% recycled glass and is itself recyclable. It is also made without BPA or lead.
We chose a simple glass form because its usefulness does not have to end with the candle. After the final burn, the vessel can be cleaned and repurposed for matches, brushes, small objects, greenery, or whatever naturally belongs in your space.
A candle may be temporary. We prefer the object holding it to have the possibility of staying.
