A quiet beginning, shaped by sensitivity, nature, and home

Luceria Candle Co., founded by Angel Mendoza, is a home fragrance studio inspired by scent sensitivity and rooted in the calm of nature.

Luceria Candle Co. was born from my own scent sensitivity. For years, I couldn’t use candles or sprays without headaches, dizziness, or overwhelm. I stopped using fragrance entirely and found myself turning to nature instead. Where scents are soft, subtle, and gentle on the senses.

As a mom of one (and a dog mom of one), I wanted my home to feel calm and safe, not overstimulating. During quiet moments at home, I began creating fragrances inspired by the places where my body feels most at ease: warm citrus in the sun, damp moss in the woods, cool smoke in the air. Scents that feel like breathing room.

What started as personal relief slowly grew into Luceria, a home fragrance studio for people who need gentler scents.

Every Luceria product is hand-poured in small batches using clean, non-toxic ingredients chosen with care: coconut–soy wax, FSC-certified wood wicks, skin-safe fragrance oils, and recyclable packaging. Each scent reflects a quiet place in nature: the orchard, the forest, the sea, the hearth, a slow Sunday.

I work from my home studio in Niagara Falls, NY, blending, pouring, packaging, and preparing every order myself. My goal is simple: create scents that feel grounding, soft, and comforting in sensitive homes like mine.
